Loving Enemies.
A sermon preached on 28th August, 2016, as part of our Swimming Against the Tide. series.
Matthew 5:38-48
Readings are Matthew 5:38-42 ("Teaching about Revenge") and 43-48 ("Love for Enemies") from the Sermon on the Mount, with a reference to Luke 6:27-28; the first part of the talk featured a clip from the 2010 animated movie 'Despicable Me', not included in this recording. (This was the last of the summer's series of family services.)
Martin Hills
Martin was a minister at Central Baptist between 2006 and 2016. He was ordained in April 2009. Martin was a trainee youth minister at Central between 1997 and 2000, before leaving to join Essex Young People’s Drug and Alcohol Service as Senior Outreach worker. In 2006 he rejoined the Ministry Team and trained at Ridley Hall, Cambridge.
