Readings are Joshua 1:10-18 ("Joshua Gives Orders to the People") and Hebrews 12:1-3 (part of "God Our Father"); the reference to Moses and the two-and-a-half tribes is from Numbers 32:28-32, Deut 3:18-20, and Josh 22:1-6. The same sermon was due to be preached at the evening service. (This Sunday followed the clocks changing back to GMT, and a severe storm was forecast to hit southern Britain that night.)
